Title: End of 40-year feud over shortcut a relief for residents

Brief: The legal dispute that began in 1974 over a 883 sq m strip of land between the Grange Heights’ MCST and land owner, Lee Tat Development ended last month with a Court of Appeal decision which dismissed Lee Tat’s claim of $63 mil in compensation for losses. Amongst which is the claim of hypothetical rent that the MCST would have to pay for the use of the land as a shortcut to Grange Road and Orchard Road.
